Rolling Hills

Located in SW portion of Marion County Florida Rolling Hills is a deed restricted rural planned development with just over 5,000 parcels. Each parcel is approximately one acre in size.

History

On June 1, 1961, John Osborne Forrer of Washington DC filed for the creation of MRI Properties, Inc with a mailing address in Pompano Beach Florida.

That company created the planned development known as Rolling Hills.

Deed Circa 1982

Towards the end of 1985, MRI Properties filed a merger with the State of Florida.

After 1986, the deeds were under the name Cam Corporation DBA: “Magna Properties,” though it was later dissolved in 2008.

Today, most of the properties are individually owned. Some are still being held by the original owners from the 60's and 70's or their descendents.

Furthermore, several properties are still vacant land, purchased as investments decades ago and left untouched since.

While there are some paved main roads, most are still limerock or dirt.
